Where does Saitama scale? Gen Discussion
It’s a perfectly viable win option regardless of whether he’s done it once or 100 times; as long as we know he can do it, and the conditions of the battle would enable him to do it, there’s nothing wrong with arguing it. The focus at that point should turn towards whether his opponent can resist it. Plus we’re talking about speed steal at the end of the day, which he does use quite a few times. Well, if you didn’t speedread the blog post, you’d have already realized the whoole point of it is saitama’s exponential growth. And exponential functions are mathematically infinite. He intentionally uses a fraction of his strength in every single one of his encounters, even when this doesn’t benefit him.

While this is a mismatch in Wally’s favor, it’s a somewhat interesting fight, as both of them hold back in-character but jump a few tiers when they become bloodlusted. But Saitama doesn’t stand a chance either way. Wally could easily incap him with speed steal when bloodlusted like he did to Inertia where he turned him into a “living statue”; slowed down his brain functions, and made it so that it would take 100 years for him to blink in-real time. When they’re bloodlusted, Saitama would contain enough force to one-shot him, but he’d be even slower than he was in a scenario where his speed got stolen and he was made permanently motionless… Then there’s Post-Flash Forward Wally who’s both omnipresent and nigh-omniscient. I will admit you’re correct on this argument specifically; phasing as an attack isn’t something he’s ever done.

Murata also describes Saitama’s strength as “infinite” on his official profile page on youngjump, providing more evidence to believe that Saitama’s unbelievable growth never stops. Saitama is immune to Garou’s cosmic radiation aura, that kills nearly all heroes on the battlefield in a matter of moments, including the powerful S class. Saitama performs Omnidirectional Serious Punch, attacking his opponent simultaneously from all directions at the same time, which is the ultimate combination of his afterimage creating Serious Series speed, and a Serious Series punches. Saitama is unaffected by peak CFM Garou’s complete Monster Calamity God Slayer Fist combo, that utilizes a variety of martial arts to deal different types of damage including blunt, energy, pressure point combat, shockwaves etc.
- His exponential power growth during that fight was only accelerated to outpace Garou’s growth, which is why he was able to copy and overpower his techniques.
- Can you give an alternate explanation that has less assumptions?
- And he has a select few feats that just show the general insurmountable gap in speed that makes fighting him without absurd hax futile.

We can agree the purpose of losing his memory is narrative…it’d essentially change Saitama’s character and destroy the status quo before the story is ready for it. But Saitama getting 50x weaker has literally no narrative effect on the story, he’d still be too op for anyone…so the perspective of protecting the narrative doesn’t work here. Well, I think it all depends how powerful God ends up being when Saitama defeats him at the end. According to Blast, Garou didn’t take much of God’s power, and that already made him saitama inu nomics a menace at a large cosmic scale. Galactus has the feats to resist whateve Saitama throws his way and he could one shot him, he’s way too powerful.

It’s less about being right and more about not being wrong, if that makes sense. But from the perspective of a debater, our job is not actually to present a character as they truely are in the author’s head because that’s impossible. All we could do to that end is speculate, and speculating in a debate just tanks your credibility. Peak as in the height of power he shown in the series, obviously. Outlier level since every major feat he gets is invalid. A limiter is device designed by God, to set the high end limits to development of every organism.
And the attacks being “ever-changing” (adverb), which refers to the nature of the attack, and not the speed of them. And the attack coming from all directions (adverb), which is achieved through the portals, and not the speed of them. Garou was wrong about timing being irrelevant, as Saitama managed to time his attacks just fine.
What is the unit of x?
With GER, Giorno has the ability to automatically nullify any cause and effect, meaning that Saitama simply can not touch Giorno no matter how strong or fast Saitama is. In the JoJo light novel Giorno literally survives the end of 36 universes. It is the strongest defense in the entire JoJo franchise. So rather, our job is to, in the end, present only what we can PROVE, and adjust that presentation as information is released. And here, we can objectively prove Saitama lost his memory, no problem.
- Bro you high asf growth rate is exponential but growth isn’t, previously you were saying growth is exponential growth isn’t, like bruh 🤣🤣🤣.
- Now tell me, what can Galactus do to fend against Saitama universal punch?
- I’ll also throw my own summary at the end as TLDR.
- The thread itself is astounding, and the explanations at the end are incredibly helpful as well.
One Punch Man vs Galactus
There have been many attempts at quantifying just how much cosmos was destroyed and how powerful the attack was, with the consensus being somewhere between multi-solar system level to multi-galaxy level. The author stated “the abilities were rising exponential” which is referring to an exponential growth, not an exponential “growth rate”. You used a chart showing his growth then multiplied it by a unit of speed that is completely irrelevant to the chart. The chart is already factoring in his speed during combat in which he is growing.
Even recently in Rebirth he’s phased attacks and the person doing them hasn’t had any bad aftereffects. I expected this thread to be a disaster but apparently higherpower and professor kept it interesting. Regardless of le statue, he simply doesn’t lethally phase, even if you kill his unborn kids in front of him or worse. He was as bloodlusted as you ever could be during the death of Bart and still didn’t kill. I also noticed you didn’t address the feat with Barry or anything Post-Flash Forward, don’t know why it’s becoming so common for people to forget current Wally exists. Anti-Monitor was specifically weakened as per the words of Wally himself after his negative sun was drained; the Pre Crisis guys themselves did in fact do a good bit of damage after Wally boosted them up a bit.
Saitama easily one shots Monster King Orochi, who’s body is durable enough to contain part of Earth’s core inside of him without any strain. The top feat/statement will be marked with a star sign (★). For example, type ★Strength to find the top Strength feat.
Saitama allowed Genos to witness himself for a brief moment, without holding back at all. The result was Saitama throwing an attack that’s not named “serious” but “death” punch at Genos. Though Saitama stops the attack at the last second and we never see its effects, anime interpretation shows that the shockwave from the punch atomized everything in it’s path in the background. While performing his Death Punch, the world around Saitama also seems to be frozen in time as he leaves countless afterimages wherever he moves – implying him moving at Killer Move speeds too.
Hey, I’ve noticed there is no up to date Saitama Respect Thread on the Vine atm, and since I’ve already spent a dozen hours researching him for one of my CaVs, I’ve decided to put it to use here. I’ll also throw my own summary at the end as TLDR. Cuz I never said the “power” won’t be an exponential function I said the function is not that you are assuming it to be. You literally started off your argument by saying I was wanking.
If the point was him being able to beat literally any kind of opponent then it wouldn’t matter if they are from another universe. But i highly doubt thats the case since in the finale Saitama will likely get his dream fight. And iirc when ONE(the writer) talks about Saitamas power he never uses “infinite” “limitless” or the likes but just says “overwhelming” “unmatched” etc.
